Methodology
Our Our Process
Repeatable, documented methodology using calibrated, three-axis field meters — so your readings mean something and can be re-verified after remediation.
The six-step assessment
- 01
Pre-visit intake
You share the address, square footage and your primary concerns. We review tower registries, transmission corridors and utility infrastructure around the property before we arrive.
- 02
Exterior walk-around
Perimeter RF sweep with a directional antenna, powerline and transformer distance mapping, and smart meter measurement at the wall and at the nearest interior room.
- 03
Room-by-room survey
Every occupied room is measured for all four categories, with extended dwell time in bedrooms, home offices and children's rooms where exposure hours are highest.
- 04
Source tracing
Elevated readings are traced to a specific circuit, device or external transmitter — not left as an unexplained number on a page.
- 05
On-site debrief
Before we leave, you see the readings, understand what they mean against Building Biology guidance, and get the immediate no-cost changes you can make today.
- 06
Written remediation report
Within 48 hours: annotated measurements, photographs, guideline comparisons, and a prioritized action plan ranked by cost and impact. Vendor-neutral, always.
Guidelines we report against
Every reading in your report is shown next to the Building Biology SBM-2015 sleeping-area benchmark as well as the FCC and ICNIRP limits, so you can see the full context rather than a single verdict.
| Field type | Target value | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Magnetic (60 Hz) | < 0.2 mG in sleeping areas | SBM-2015 'no concern' |
| Radio frequency | < 0.1 µW/m² in sleeping areas | SBM-2015 'no concern' |
| Electric field | < 1 V/m body voltage equivalent | SBM-2015 'no concern' |
| Dirty electricity | < 50 GS units per circuit | Common practice threshold |
